(Pianistic execution Prize and Junior Categories)
- The cultural association “il cuscino di stelle - Pietro Iadeluca” organize the 5th Piano Competition “Piana del Cavaliere” in memoriam PIETRO IADELUCA.The competition will be held in Carsoli from 12th to 16th July 2017and it is open to pianists from every nationality, divided into specific categories.
- SENIOR CATEGORY, PROGRAMS AND PRIZES (Age limit until 33 years old included):
(Age limit on May 31th 2017; compositions performed without "repeat" unless necessary)
- Eliminatory: program of 15-20 minutes include:
- one movement of classical sonata or theme and variations (composed before 1829);
- other free-choice pieces only if the timing of 20 minutes is respected;
- Final round: free programme of 30-35 minutes containing at least 2 different composers (participants not allowed to play same compositions already played in the eliminatory round).
2.1 Prizes:
- 1st classified (at least 95/100): 2.500 euros + CONCERT PREMIO;
- 2nd classified (at least 90/100): 900 euros;
- 3rd classified (at least 85/100): 600 euros.
2.2 SPECIAL PRIZES AND RECOGNITIONS:
- CONCERTS AWARD (hotel expenses + contribution to travel expenses):
- A concert organized by the association “il cuscino di Stelle” during the festival “Momenti Musicali” in 2018. It remains mandatory during the concert to perform a piece of Pietro Iadeluca.
- A concert during the Festival PIANO CITY NAPOLI 2017.It remains mandatory during the concert to perform a piece of Pietro Iadeluca.
- SPECIAL PRIZE* PIETRO IADELUCA (free participation not mandatory):
- from 100 € to 300 €, total amount of 400 €;
* for remarkable performances of one or more compositions by Pietro Iadeluca, music scores available on the web site www.pietroiadeluca.it or by request from the association “il cuscino di stelle”; the musical scores will be sent to the participants without additional charge. The composition can be played either at the beginning, during or at the end of the performance.
- SPECIAL AWARD MASTERCLASS: open to all final candidates (regardless of the final list) and to the winners of the Special Prize Pietro Iadeluca, will hold a Masterclass held by the President of Jury Kyoko Hashimoto, to be held July 15th, at the end of the award ceremony.
- JUNIOR CATEGORY, PROGRAMS AND PRIZES:
(Age limit established until 31th May 2017; compositions performed without “repeat” except where necessary)
- Category Junior A (age limit 10), free program 3-4 minutes;
- Category Junior B (age limit 13), free program 5-10 minutes;
- Category Junior C (age limit 17), free program 10-15 minutes.
3.1 Prizes:
- Categories A and B for 1st, 2nd and 3rd classified (precious objects, vouchers or other prizes in kind);
- Category C, 1st classified (at least 95/100) 250 euros; prizes for 2nd and 3rd classified (precious objects, vouchers or other prizes in kind).
- SPECIAL PRIZE* PIETRO IADELUCA (free participation not mandatory):
- from 50 € to 100 €, total amount of 100 €;
* for remarkable performances of one or more compositions by Pietro Iadeluca, music scores available on the web site www.pietroiadeluca.it or by request from the association “il cuscino di stelle”; the musical scores will be sent to the participants without additional charge. The composition can be played either at the beginning, during or at the end of the performance.
- DIPLOMAS AND PLAQUES:
- Artistic plaque to the top three classified in each category;
- Diplomas to the competitors having at least 80/100 points:
- Diploma of “Grand First Prize” with points 99/100 or 100/100;
- Diploma of “First Prize” with points between 98/100 and 95/100;
- Diploma of “Second Prize” with points between 94/100 and 90/100;
- Diploma of “Third Prize” with points between 89/100 and 85/100;
- Diploma of “Fourth Prize” with points between 84/100 and 80/100.
- Certificate of attendance for each participant.
- VALUATION:
- the valuation of the jury are taken from scale 100/100 and will be published only the scores with at least 80/100;
- the memorized executions are not mandatory.
- JURIES: two different juries, one for the Senior Category and one for the Junior Categories (A, B and C), each composed of established pianists and / or piano professors; the composition of the juries will be published on the web site. The artistic director can at any time invite new members to join the jury, if circumstances require.
The jury can decide to stop the performance of a candidate at any time and/or to listen to a candidate again. The jury may give ex-equo awards, special awards or not give any awards. The jury will establish the candidates who can join the second round. The jury will establish the number of candidates who may go on to the Final (for senior categories).
Every members of the jury have to produce a written declaration related to any possible connection, relatives or students in the last two years with the candidates, for these cases it will not be permitted to take part in the discussion regarding the performance of the same nor will they be allowed to award a mark.

- Before starting to play, the candidates shall present themselves to the jury with a valid identity document and provide at least one copy of the compositions that will be played.
- The auditions time for each category will be published on the web site 10 days before the beginning of the competition. The playing order will follow an alphabetical order starting from letter D (from the surname of the youngest candidate in the category A of the previous competition 2016). Candidates can check the scheduled time on the web site www.ilcuscinodistelle.org and www.pietroiadeluca.it or by phone or by whatsapp on +393333987639. They have to be present at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
- The registration fee will be refunded in the following cases: cancellation of the competition due to extra – circumstances or abolition of a category; maximum number of candidates reached (the applicants received first will be accepted and the registration fee be refunded to the excluded candidates).
- The 1st prize’s winners from previous years cannot participate in the same category.
- The winners must participate, loss of prizes, to the gala concerts and the awards cerimonies that will take place on 15th July 2017 at 5 p.m for the Senior Category and on 16th July 2017 at 6 p.m. for the Junior Categories, in Carsoli (Sala Polifunzionale in via Genova) or in a different place that will be announcedin advance. The organization reserves the right to record and broadcast on radio, TV or web, any stage of the competition.
- Travel expenses will be borne by the candidate. The winners' prizes will be awarded at the gala concertand they could be subject to legally deductions.Winners of money prizes will have to provide the organizer with their IBAN and BIC or SWIFT code for the bank transfer.
- REGISTRATION FEE FOR EACH CANDIDATE:
- € 30 for category Junior A and B;
- € 50 for category Junior C;
- € 80 for category Senior.

- Registration must be completed by 02nd July 2017 by email or post. The application must contain:
- Registration form correctly filled in ;
- Proof of payment of the registration fee;
- Copy of an identity document of the candidate (or of the legal representative for candidates under 18 years old).
- Legal requirements: in applying, the candidate accepts all the rules of the competition as here presented, he / she allows the treatment of personal data, according to Decree Law 196/2003, article 13, and he/she agrees to the association “il cuscino di Stelle - Pietro Iadeluca” using any audio-visual or other material, obtained during the different stages of the competition. The Court of L'Aquila shall be competent for any controversy.

5th International Competition of Art and Literature
“Pietro Iadeluca & friends”
The cultural association “Il Cuscino di Stelle - Pietro Iadeluca” announces the 5th International Competition of Art and Literature "Pietro Iadeluca & friends".
Art. 1. The competition is open to all authors residing in Italy and abroad, provided that the works meet the characteristics required by this announcement.
Art. 2. The competition is divided into the following sections with the mandatory conditions below:
Open from 18 years old upwards
a) poetry in italian on any subject: maximum length of 40 verses;
b) poetry in italian on "Nature”: maximum length of 40 verses;
c) in the vernacular poem on any subject by submitting a poem in dialect, with Italian translation required in the face: maximum length of 40 verses;
d) fiction in italian on any subject to which you can participate by sending a story, which will not exceed 3 pages;
Open to participants up to 17 years:
a) literary youth on any subject to which you can participate with a poem or a story;
b) themed art young free, which you can take part with a work (drawing, sculpture, painting, collage, etc.) of any material;
c) youth media on any subject, to which you can participate with an individual labor or collective;
Art. 3. All entries must be unpublished and never awarded in other competitions, under penalty of disqualification.
The works will be based on serious, or ironic content; the works that will have with-held profane, vulgar or otherwise objectionable, will not be accepted for participation in the competition, and, the sum already paid at time of registration will not be returned.
Art. 4. The participation fee in order to cover the administration costs for categories A, B, C, and D is 10.00 EUR, and is free for sections E, F, and G.
You can participate in multiple sections. You should provide the registration fee for any categories you would like to participate.
The registration fee must be paid to the Cultural Association "Il Cuscino di Stelle - Pietro Iadeluca" at the Banca di Credito Cooperativo, Tagliacozzo agency - C/C: 060/003 077-IBAN: IT98F0832740810000000003077; alternatively the contribution for the participation can also be sent by post in the envelope containing the entry form.
Art. 5. Participation in the 5th International Competition of Art and Literature "Pietro Iadeluca & friends" implies the acceptance of all rules included in this Regulation. Broke any of the rules set will force the jury to exclude the participant from the Competition.
Art. 6. For literary sections, each work has to be sent in 6 copies, of which 5 anonymous.
The six copies should be sent in an envelope containing also the application form (attached to this announcement or downloaded from www.pietroiadeluca.it website with the "events") filled in and signed at the bottom with policy agreement. You can also fill out the form on the site of the association here.
Art. 7. For children under 18 years it is required to forward a photocopy of passport and a written and signed parents approval. In any case, the responsibility for the children is in the hands of parents or guardians.

Art. 9. The deadline for shipping is Tuesday, June 6, 2017 (however shall prevail sending postmark).
Art. 10. The cultural association "Il Cuscino di Stelle", disclaims any responsibility for disruption, loss, theft, damage that may occur during the sending of the competing works, and supplementary documentation.
Art. 11. a qualified jury will be established, which will draw up a merit list for each , during the public ceremony to be held in Pereto (AQ) probably Saturday 9 September 2017.
Art. 12. The prizes for the top 3 of the adult sections (Poetry, forced Poetry theme, Poetry both in the vernacular, and short fiction), will be in kind (ceramics of Castelli, in silver frames, copper accomplishments and books).
The winners of the sections A, B, C and D, will be decided by the total score of the jury and the prizes will be distributed as follows:
• 1st place, payment of the expense for the publication of a collection of poems or short stories (60 books) + Diploma;
• 2nd place, a weekend at the Garni "Round Lake" Marileva (TN) + Diploma;
• 3rd place, voucher offered by Ceramiche 2 EMME Carsoli (AQ) + Diploma;
• 4th place, voucher offered by Office Point of Carsoli (AQ) + Diploma.
Special section and prize "Comme 'na' ota" for the most beautiful poetry in Abruzzese dialect that is not among the top three classified in Section C.
The first three classified in the young categories E, F and G will receive vouchers, books and diplomas.
Art. 13. The score of the jury is mandatory.
Art. 14. The letterarie finaliste works will be published in an anthology.
Art. 15. Signing at the bottom of the registration form, you authorize the processing of personal data, declaring to know and accept, in all its parts, the rules of the contest, allowing the” Cultural Association” permission to publish poems and short stories, as written in the Regulation.
Art. 16. The presence to the awarding is compulsory, in case of impossibility to attend, you can delegate a person of trust (with written authorization and photocopy of the document).
However, in case of non-attendance, the prize WILL NOT BE SENT, and remain the property of the Association, which will reuse it for other initiatives.
